OLnet Update

Music: Ottmar Liebert + Luna Negra - Sleepless (Distortion/System Crash)

The release date is going to have to be pushed back a bit from early November, unfortunately :\ MichaelV, our web designer, is graciously building the entire site for us from the ground up, taking whatever time he can from his own job as a web designer to do this volunteer work for OLnet, so it's perfectly understandable that he can't fit in as much time to work on the site as he'd like. Hopefully we'll have a test version up soon, and if you'd like to see this test site, please e-mail me at adam@ottmarliebert.net ;)

New? Nuevo? Nouvelle? Better start playing ...

Music: Smoke City - Life can be sweet
Mood:
the excitement before going to an airport

Can a record label call OL's music NEW Flamenco? Or should they know better? Can ITAOL be described as OL playing his Nouveau Flamenco style?
If you want to know who wrote it, go to my blog.

Ron Wagner

Music: OL - Buddha's Flower
Mood: ottmar'd

Just to get things going, I hold what I discovered not earlier than today. Ron Wagner, longtime percussionist of Ottmar Liebert's rubber band Luna Negra, has a past: in 1982 and 1984 he participated in the recording of four songs of the Strunz & Farah albums Mosaico and Frontera. That means, Ron was around when Jorge Strunz and Ardeshir Farah started their common career and should therefore be able to tell us wether it was playing in the moroccan style or simple habit that made them use a pick for playing Spanish guitar.

P.S. My musical choice is motivated by the fact that I got a beautiful Buddha today from Nepal!!

Hello all! First post on the OLnet blog here...This blog will be open for any Fanmencos who pass by OLnet to share their thoughts with the world. You can discuss OL here (of course), or anything that comes to mind. OLnet will be launching shortly. Enjoy!
